Is the Aura Diffuser safe to use around my dog?

Yes. The Aura Diffuser is specifically designed for homes shared with dogs. It uses no heat and no mist — instead, Aura Flow™ technology disperses pure essential oil in controlled intervals, so your dog isn't overwhelmed by a constant stream of scent. Vayu blends contain no synthetic fragrance, no phthalates, and no petroleum-based compounds. Which essential oils are toxic to pets, and does Vayu use them?

Certain essential oils — including Tea Tree, Peppermint, and Wintergreen — are known to be harmful to dogs and are never used in Vayu formulations. Our blends use carefully selected oils including palmarosa, lavender, rose, chamomile, vanilla, sandalwood, lime, and petitgrain. If your dog has known sensitivities, we always recommend consulting your vet before introducing any new scent into your home.

What should I do if my dog is around the diffuser?

Always diffuse in open, well-ventilated areas — never in a small enclosed space with your pet. Never allow direct contact between your dog and the oil bottle, and store oils securely away from curious noses when not in use. If your pet shows any unusual signs — excessive scratching, lethargy, or respiratory changes — stop use immediately and consult your vet.

Are your oils free from synthetic fragrance, phthalates, and harsh chemicals?

Yes — completely. Vayu blends contain no artificial fragrance compounds, no phthalates, and no petroleum-based ingredients. Every blend is formulated using carefully selected essential oils only. Nothing synthetic, nothing that compromises your home's air or your dog's wellbeing.

Can I use the diffuser around cats or other pets, not just dogs?

Vayu blends are formulated specifically with dogs in mind. For cats or other animals, we recommend consulting your vet before use — cats metabolise essential oils very differently to dogs and can be more sensitive to airborne compounds. When in doubt, always put your pet's safety first.

For our essential oils, we offer returns within 30 days provided they are unopened and in their original packaging. Due to health and safety standards for both humans and pets, we cannot accept returns on oils that have been opened. How long should I run the Aura each day?

Most customers run the Aura for 1–3 hours per day, either in a single session or in intervals. This keeps the scent present and pleasant without saturating the room. We recommend starting with shorter sessions and adjusting based on your preference and your pet's comfort.

Does the Aura Diffuser come with a warranty?

Yes. Every Aura Diffuser is backed by a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering functional defects under normal use. If something goes wrong with your device through no fault of your own, we'll make it right.

Note: Damage caused by the use of non-Aura Blends oils that results in build-up or blockage of the diffusion mechanism may not be covered under warranty.

How long does one Aura Blends bottle last?

It depends on how often you run the diffuser:

Low usage → up to 80 hours of diffusion
Medium usage → around 60 hours of diffusion

For most homes running it 1–3 hours a day, that works out to approximately 3–4 weeks per bottle. All three current blends (Blush Meadows, Golden Dunes, Orchard Riviera) have the same duration.

Can I use other brands of oil in my Aura Diffuser?

Technically yes, the Aura can accommodate most high-quality, pure essential oils. However, we strongly recommend using Aura Blends for the best experience. Here's why:

Generic or lower-grade oils often contain synthetic fillers and heavy fragrance carriers that can cause internal build-up over time — potentially clogging the cold-air diffusion mechanism and shortening your device's life.
Aura Blends are specifically tested for diffusion rate and pet-safe respiratory profiles — they're formulated to work in rhythm with the Aura's delivery system.
Using third-party oils may void your warranty if damage to the diffusion mechanism can be attributed to oil quality.
